Charles Andrews Fenton was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1919. As an author and educator, Fenton wrote such volumes as: The Apprenticeship of Ernest Hemmingway: The Early Years (1954); and Stephen Vincent Benet: The Life and Times of an American Man of Letters (1958).
